Stoovo
For this task we decided to discover new market, because we already had good user base of delivery drivers which we can use for deliveries and micro delivery market was growing in California.
So we set out to create delivery service, there were major two parts of this big task:
1) Service for those who order deliveries
2) Service for drivers to accept orders and deliver parcels.
Задача
So this is a big task, and it had subtasks for two audiences
Create way for small business owners and ordinary people to send small parcels;
Create way for Stoovo delivery drivers to accept orders and deliver parcels.
Аудитория
Small business owners and ordinary people in San Francisco and surrounding areas.

Дискавери
To better understand how delivery services operate I just went to google and checked out our potential competitors. Analysed some common patterns to create questions for upcoming interview.
Дискавери
I needed to interview potential users of such delivery service and went inside Humbleteam to ask for help. And found couple people from administrative department that has been using similar services and Czechia. Conducted interview and a little card sorting, asking them to build out most comfotable flow of ordering a delivery.
Lo-fi
Based on interview, card sorting and product requirements I built out low fidelity prototypes to test on potential users and validate my ideas.
Validation
Test on users
Built out interactive prorotype in Figma for whole low fidelity designs to tests it on people and gather feedback about it. Results were good, no major issues in design and logic of ordering the packages. Some comments about icons and hard metaphors for them, I decided to fix all the small issues in the next step.
Final layouts
On this step I finalised layouts and logic based on interviews, usability tests and discussions with CEO on what we want to see in final designs. So here is final UI for desktop version of Stoovo delivery service.
Mobile version of designs. Thanks to quite unusual mobile centered grid and layout that I chose for this task, creation of adaptive was super easy.
For the courier side of this big project we planned on creating new feature inside Stoovo app, because it already had similar functionality(geolocation, map, navigation, etc.) and our users are delivery drivers.
Discovery
Because of limited resources and time I went with desk research to better understand the landscape of the couriers apps and what are they used to. Watched tens of youtube and tiktok videos of couriers delivering packages, went on specialized forums like uberpeople.
Some similar patterns was starting to appear in this type of services such as big ui elements that are easy to click, clear structure of pages, big focus on time and money.
Discovery
At this step I wanted to dive in more into each step of delivery process, because there are many dependencies on people who recieiving packages, people who are sending them and on us as a system that processes them.
This is simplified example of what I got in the end, each step marked with different colour because there are different actions required from users and us on each step.
Matched each step with design steps to better visualise how system will react to them.

First draft UI
I skipped the low fidelity part of the process, because we already had good design system that I used for this task. After creating first UI of the whole flow, I gathered meeting with engineers to gather feedback on technical aspect of the designs. I gathered a lot of and I mean A LOT OF insights from engineers that helped me to iterate on next step.

Final UI layouts and delivery
I implemented engineers feedback and changed designs to acommodate technical difficulty of the flow. So here is final result of our hard work.
Results
I completed design for whole project in 7 days, which I'm very proud of. Delivered designs to engineers and service was launched as planned and worked pretty good.
